Highly important "modern" designed Biedermeier settee, Vienna, 1810/1820.
Walnut veneered on pinewood. Shellac - based French repolished.
Reupholstered with webbing, single coilsprings and horse hair.
1) This settee verifies the "modern" design movement in the Biedermeier period,
due to reasearch already in the first decades of the 19th Century.
2) It's creator was Josef Danhauser,
the most important innovative master cabinetmaker among 951 registered master in Vienna 1823, due to research.
